A recently completed 60,000 sq. ft. Victorian style assisted living facility. The three-story building contains 60 one-bedroom resident rooms, full commercial kitchen and laundry, and various public activity areas. The design includes a stone veneer and fiber cement siding exterior with dormers, glass curtain-wall stairways, and balconies. La Plata, Maryland
Middleton Hall: A 20,000 sq. ft. Tudor style community hall/event venue. The design includes brick veneer and split faced block exterior with dormers, simulated timbers, and unique chimney design. The interior plan incorporates an underground firing range, a large bar/lounge area, full commercial kitchen, and two assembly rooms capable of serving nearly 1,000 occupants. Waldorf, Maryland
Charles County Courthouse:
A new 32,000 sq. ft. Maryland District Courthouse. The two-story Colonial style courthouse building contains four courtrooms, office space, holding facilities, and a full underground parking garage. The building features a two-story open lobby with glass railings and maple wood doors and trim. La Plata, Maryland
Southern Maryland Burger Kings: New and renovated restaurants at six locations featuring different styles depending on the location and local regulations. The design process required the balancing of the Corporate’s prototypical designs with existing building construction, site conditions, and the requirements of local Architectural Design Review Boards. Calvert, St. Mary’s and Charles Counties.
Carrico Building: A historic hotel converted into an award-winning three-story mixed use building after being severely damaged in the 2002 tornado. The original building was the first hotel in town, built in 1915. The building was converted into apartments on the upper two floors with office space on the ground floor. The project was the winner of a Maryland restoration award. La Plata, Maryland
Private Residence: An award-winning pair of additions to a historic house. The primary addition, a two-story family room features a curved stair, second floor interior balcony, and large curved window wall with a spectacular view of Virginia beyond. Bensville, Maryland
